The Position:

Yale/Chase currently has an opening for an experienced Desktop Support Technician to provide technical assistance to end users in resolving issues in the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, work processing, electronic mail, and operating systems (Widows 7/10). This position will report to the Yale/Chase facility in Whittier.  

Job duties: Include but are not limited to: coordinate with the IT Manager to meet departmental SLA’s; assist in the daily performance of computer systems; troubleshoot PC workstation hardware and software, printers and basic networking; install, configure, and maintain PC workstations (Windows 7/10); maintain documentation regarding workstation installation and configuration; provide Office 2010 – 2016 support; maintain ServiceDeskplus support tickets; support Navision ERP software; desktop central deployments; OPmanager monitoring; and perform all other duties as required. 


Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience:   Minimum of 3 years experience providing technical support (Windows platform)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:   Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications; possess strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills; possess excellent time management skills; able to concentrate and pay close attention to detail; and interact constructively and cooperatively to provide world class customer service. 

Highly desirable qualifications: Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification Experience in: Symantec End Point, Service DeskPlus / OPmanager , System Imaging (Acronis)

We are seeking candidates to perform the following job duties, including but not limited to:

Maintain and repair various types of LP, electric, and diesel forklifts and related equipment by: performing preventative maintenance; analyzing, diagnosing and troubleshooting repairs; clearly communicating to customer recommended repairs needed to resolve equipment performance; inspecting and test equipment to ensure all safety devices are in proper working order; accurately & thoroughly complete required paperwork, collect customer signatures, and ensure paperwork is turned in promptly; maintain & operate service vehicle in a clean, orderly and hazard-free manner; observe all Yale/Chase & customer safety procedures; and follow company policies. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work independently, and will provide superior customer service with a positive and friendly attitude.

Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude Basic skills in operating personal computers

Prior experience repairing forklifts and heavy equipment highly desired, but not required for entry-level FST Ability to safely operate power tools, lifts, hoists, hydraulic jacks, and overhead cranes

Possess and maintain valid driver’s license with good driving record Good written and oral communication skills

Effectively communicate & interact positively with customers, co-workers, and management Ability to pass pre-employment physical examination and drug screen

JOB TITLE: Equipment Solutions Account Manager (ESAM – Outside Sales)

The ESAM position is focused on outside sales to meet an increasing demand of the products and services offered by Yale/Chase in the greater Los Angeles/Inland Empire area. This position offers an existing portfolio of customers to call on, as well as a lead-generating service that will feed additional leads and can set appointments on behalf of the ESAM with prospects that are discovered along the way.

Requirements: (Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying)

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Proven track record that includes at least three years of inside/outside Business-to-Business sales (Note: experience in the materials handling industry is not required)
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be skilled in the organization & management of time, efforts & resources
  • Able to work independently and provide superior customer service with a positive and friendly attitude
  • The ideal candidate will be driven to succeed and have a strong desire to have completely satisfied customers
  • A good driving record is mandatory

Compensation: Generous commission structure plus a monthly vehicle expense offset, fuel card provided, ability to earn Reward Trips and Bonuses. First year compensation will range between $36,000 to $55,000 on average, with the second year averaging between $50,000 to $75,000. Successful ESAMs will cross the $100,000 annual compensation mark in the third or fourth year in outside sales.
